Dstv unsigned contracts
I am very unhappy with how Dstv has drawn up an agree with me without my concern. I paid R100 for dstv access on the 25th of August as I was not viewing for the past 4-5 months. To my surprise, I got an sms from Dstv this afternoon starting that I should pay R156 for package and reconnection fee. So basically they made me pay a penalty of R100 for not viewing the past months and still have to pay they if I want to continue watching. Monopolistic business.

We urge to contact us at all times for billing assistance so that we are able to help you understand how we bill your account and the charges you incur. It is of utmost importance the billing is explained to you, to ensure confusion is prevented.
We do confirm the amount of R100, was received, but we do not have a package for R100,00. The DStv Access package is R110,00 per month. Your DStv account was also disconnected with an arrears balance of R28.39. When the account was disconnected due to non-payment a reconnection fee of R50,00 is also billed.
The amount of R100,00 is not enough to keep the services running for the entire billing cycle considering that your payment date is the 30th of every month. The additional amount of R152,67, is due for payment to enable the service to run till the 29.09.2020.
Should you not pay this amount the account will eventually be auto-disconnected.
