DSTv unsatisfactory service
Highly frustrated and been a Multichoice client since 1995 and never skipped a payment. My monthly payment goes thru by debit order on the 1st of each month with the last payment done on 1 June 19. On 1 June iI pay R840 extra for my holiday home which i have activated on 3 June. Multichoice only transfers R740 (I do not know where the rest went). I then receive a message that a debit will go thru my bank on the 14th June fir R1600+ and behold, onthe 14th June there it goes. I then contact the service centre and they tell me there was a wrong entry and will refund me. On the 25th June I receive a refund for the full amount and thinking well done I leave it be. On the 27th June i disconnect my holiday home with only my primary residential decoder kept on. Now my frustrations start, no debit order on the 1st July thru bank account. I then contact the service centre and they inform me that someone changed my payment date to the 14th. I ask this to be rectified, then I'm informed that I owe DSTv an additional R1600 for my holiday home account. After many calls, some up to 40 minutes I find out that when the holiday home was activated, the operater activated 2 decoders while I only have an Explora. And so it goes on and on, with up to 6 calls per day from the 3rd July. I had also been promised that someobe more senior will contact me within 24hrs, still waiting. Today 8 July my services get disconnected. I phone in 6 times with feedback that the outstanding bill is now R2424. I was also promised at least 3 times today that i would be called back without any success. One of the operators informed me that she had escalated this to her financial supervisor which just told her that she has a long list of calls to make. So out of frustration and having a mother of 82 with dimentia I make a payment of R2424 around 16:30. Being busy i do not send a fax or mail of proof of payment. I then contact the service centre only to be told that they cannot pick up the payment and need proof to be sent to them, which unfortunately I can not do from my phone. So now I am left without activation, DSTv has R2424 of mine and a mother with dimentia. People be warned about the poor service. DSTv want you to fix your subscription with Price Lock yet their service is extremly poor to non existance. I hope that someone senior at DSTv reads this and comes back to me with a solution or is this just another of their " not worried about loyal" customers type of service.
