As a long-standing premium subscriber to DSTV, I must express my disappointment regarding the recent shift to utilizing local in-house presenters for pre-match analysis during Champions League and other international football tournaments. At a minimum, it would be beneficial to provide premium subscribers with the option to access the host broadcaster's pre-game coverage, rather than mandating the use of what I perceive as subpar local content from Nigeria and Johannesburg. The expectation associated with a premium subscription is to receive a high-quality viewing experience, not content that falls short of this standard. While I understand that cost-saving measures may be necessary given the current business climate, the premium subscription is paid for a specific level of service, and this change does not reflect that.
