DStv - the worst service provider in South Africa

We’ve been dealing with a service nightmare since March 7th, 2025, when DStv insisted we upgrade our decoder. Despite numerous calls, more than four in-person visits to their branch, and repeated promises that an installer would be sent, absolutely nothing has been done. The latest failed promise was for May 19th - yet again, no one showed up.

We even escalated the matter officially and laid a formal complaint via email. Lesego assured us that we would get a response within 24 hours and that installers would be sent. They never got back to us. No follow-up. No action. Nothing.

We were happy with our previous package and only agreed to this upgrade because DStv pushed for it. Now we’ve been left without service for over two months. It’s clear that DStv doesn’t value its paying customers and has no respect for our time or loyalty.

Stick to Netflix and Showmax, at least they deliver what they promise.
