DSTV taking consumers for a ride, unfairness etc.
Recently channels like BBC style, Black belt etc. have been canned & replaced with Premium channels e.g. Lifetime etc. The trend set up by Multichoice is very bad as those channels deleted were not replaced by channels in DSTV Extra or Compact.<br> Furthermore, before VUZU, E! etc. had very enjoyable programmes. But once it was moved to Extra & Compact the channels have been pathetic. Also, DSTV \cleverly"replaced VUZU with a Premium channel VUZU Amp. All the nice programmes/reality programmes that were on VUZU were moved to VUZU Amp.<br> Also"

We confirm Black Belt TV, the martial arts channel on DStv channel 129, was terminated on the 28 February 2015. The contract with the channel has ended and it will not be renewed. Customers who enjoy similar content, can tune in to Sony Max on DStv channel 128. Unfortunately, not all channels can be offered to Extra, Compact; Select; Lite and EasyView customers.
Decisions around which channels are made available to which packages are often based on content and broadcasting rights, we have from the channel suppliers. MultiChoice doesn't schedule programmes but buys ready-made local and international channels. Each channel schedules new and recurring programmes according to a programme or movie's license specification. MultiChoice arranges the channels into DStv packages and broadcasts the channels.
