Dstv sucks

I bought myself and my husband the Dstv explora and the WiFi connector for Christmas. The wifi worked fine for about 2 weeks. Now we cannot watch Dstv catchup for love or money. The movie's just won't download and play at all. Not only have they increased their fees now, we also have to pay for Boxoffice even though we don't use it at all, and, over and above the subscription, we also pay an access fee. This is a total ******* considering we are already paying the subscription fee. And we have to pay for the decoder, satellite dish etc etc. And we cannot access the extra services despite all of this. Absolute bull ****. Dstv itself sucks because of the repeat repeat repeat of everything. I am seriously passed off at this moment in time.

Good day Joan

We have been liaising with our technical team in this regard.

Kindly have the decoder and Wifi device tested at the nearest DStv Service Centre or agency. Our technical team will check the hardware and the decoder's software. They will provide you with the relevant team in this regard.

In relation to the BoxOffice, we've checked your DStv account and confirm that there's no transaction in your BoxOffice account. You will only be charged R35.00 provided you've rented from BoxOffice. For more information, please visit our website on www.dstv.com to see how BoxOffice works. The Access Fee gives you more than one viewing environment without having to pay more than one subscription. This caters for the unique needs of your household.

We’ve taken this issue of repeats to heart and we’ve pledged to do something about it. While we can’t do away with all repeats, we plan to cut down on the volume and introduce as much fresh content as possible. We’re also going to help you find more shows you might like, but never knew existed (so please go to DStv.com for more information).

This January alone we’ve had 56 brand new shows premiere for the first time across the DStv channels as well as 58 new seasons of returning favourites and 12 never-before-seen blockbuster movies on M-Net (DStv 101), M-Net Edge (DStv 102) and M-Net Movies Premiere (DStv 104). From April 2017, there will be new movies on Mzansi Magic and Bioskop. This means that anywhere from 52 to 104 new movies will grace your screen every year.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

Kind regards

Dinah
