DSTV Streaming Service - NOT SPECIAL

While we were very excited to be able to sign up for a 3-month streaming service on top of the Compact Plan (so that we could watch Wimbledon), I was horrified that our account is now in arrears of close on R1600 and has been disconnected. After having an online conversation with one of the agents, she explained that I did not stipulate the cancellation date and it renews automatically. I think this is poor form on DSTV's side. You get offered a 3-month special, which is obviously too good be true. I don't believe that DSTV makes this fact clear enough to consumers. I think it's appalling and would like a refund for the months I never agreed to pay for!!!
