DSTV strategic decision not to broadcast high profile boxing tournaments any more

<p>Notwithstanding several complaints, DSTV is continuing to stop broadcasting high profile boxing tournaments. The last two Ganady Golovkin fights, the last two Roman Gonzalez fights and the last Vasyl Lomachenko fight were not broadcasted. Now DSTV is also not going to broadcast the Joshua vs Klitschko fight tomorrow night. The Joshua vs Klitschko fight is seen as one of the biggest in heavy weight history, while the previously mentioned fights were all top ten pound-for-pound fights. WHY DID DSTV STOP BROADCASTING TOP LEVEL FIGHTS?</p> <p>During previous communications DSTV mentioned that top level fights cost a lot of money. yet they repeatedly used top level boxing broadcasts in their adverti*****ts. Why dont they keep to their promises? The customer is paying high premiums for the DSTV service, yet the quality os some sporting broadcasts is falling all the time. The only sporting channel (s) growing/getting more exposure is soccer. There are sometimes up to nine out of 11 sporting channels occupied by soccer. How can it be allowed that a broadcaster is shrinking the public exposure to all sports, except soccer because there is obviously a preference for soccer and only soccer at DSTV. I add the soccer atgument, because DSTV told me that premium boxing tournaments are expensive and that they have high customer ratings for soccer. It is therefore logical to accept that money previously spent on premium boxing tournaments are now ploughed into buying more and more soccer rights for broadcasting. I am happy that soccer get a lot of airtime, but it should not smother all other sports in the process. Where is fulfillment of the DSTV promise to broadcast top level boxing tournaments?????</p>
