DSTV Stop Playing Around
We get back from our holiday and find limited DSTV; I paid R300.00 (more than a year's subscription). The following day, and we get cut off. I dial the Cape Town call centre and a voice tells me to pay R24 and we will be reconnected in FIVE minutes. I follow the prompts, receive an SMS, follow everything there and end up paying R24.95 as per the SMS. Now 40 minutes later and we are still cut off. What game is DSTV playing?

The last payment in your account was R294.50 on the 3rd of March 2019. The yearly subscription is R29.00 X 11 = R319.00.
R294.50 was a short payment and it could only cover you until the 1st of January. Your account is also on a monthly payment and not an annual payment, what this means is that we have been billing you monthly and taking the R29.00 from the credit that you had in your account.
This also means that you don't qualify for the one-month free subscription. We have checked if you requested your account to be changed to an annual subscription and we could not find your request either via the Contact Centre, social media or emails.
Please pay R24.01 to reconnect the account, you'll be covered until the 1st of February.

Yesterday I dialed your *120*..... and followed the prompts that promised if I pay R24.00 we would be reconnected in five minutes. We are still discontented, 17 hours after that payment was made. In addition, on Saturday afternoon I paid R300.00 and 40+ hours and we are still disconnected. And here you are telling me to pay more. What a cheek!

Take a look at every year since we subscribed to DSTV and you will see I have always paid a lump sum of between R200 and R300. Listen to the call when I joined DSTV and you will hear me say I will pay for 12 months. Never has anyone at DSTV mentioned the option of an Annual Subscription and getting one month free. So in reality DSTV owes me 5 months of free viewing.
So just for everyone to see, here is the sms from my bank for the R300.00 I paid on Saturday to DSTV and I repeat WE ARE STILL DISCONNECTED
