Dstv *****ing from customers

Good day,

I received the following sms today:

Your next DStv debit order of R3776.10 will collect on 25/11. You can manage your accounts on My DStv on dstv.com

Upon phoning your contact centre and speaking to Nokwanda (Reference number: ***0-i326), she advise me that my monthly subscription is R1388 and the R2388 extra that I need to pay is because of bad debts. Apparently because I closed off my account and reopened it. I can assure you that I did no such thing. I want a written request from me, or an email, or call reference number stating that I request my account to be closed. Similarly I want the same where I requested that I have my account reopened. Please note that I am not willing to pay the extra R2388 as that affects my monthly budget, and prevents me from providing basic needs to my family. I am not willing to pay that amount of money because of DStv's error or incompetency.

I have been a premium subscriber to DStv for many years, with no subscription payment issues, as my account is always debited on the 25th of every month. I trust that you will investigate and write off this R2388, as I will get my bank to reverse the debit order should Dstv debit me of this amount.

So who's fault does that become if it wasn't debited, and then partially debitted?
