DSTV - spam is their new business model
Despite never having received consent, multiple unsubscribe requests and multiple complaints over the last several months, DSTV continues to spam me weekly with marketing **** I never asked for and don't want. Apparently, the law regarding "opt-in marketing consent" and "ceasing marketing when requested to do so" doesn't apply at DSTV. They are also refusing to provide the contact details I require to lodge a formal complaint (having tried the regular contact channels already). Be warned that if you sign up for DSTV, they WILL spam you mercilessly, *******ly, and refuse to stop!

Hi Ntando,
I have been told this multiple times, and yet the spam keeps coming (most recently, yesterday).
I have previously asked the following questions, to which I have yet to receive a satisfactory reply:
- why am I getting email I never subscribed to (*******)
- why are unsubscribe requests ignored (*******)
- why am I still being spammed after four months of requesting that you stop (*******)
- why do the emails keep coming after I have been promised they will stop (*******)
- why can I not manage my preferences on my profile, when it is clear that DSTV cannot manage them properly?
- who in senior management can I escalate this to?
I appreciate your response, but to be blunt, I simply don't believe it, because I've heard that one before.

24 Nov 2019, 10:33Please chase this because - as expected - I am STILL receiving spam, despite my email address now allegedly having been "removed" from your systems.
I want this escalated FURTHER - despite claims it has been escalated, whomever is currently responsible for resolving the issue either has no ability, no authority or no interest to sort it out.
I have been requesting DSTV to stop this ******* behaviour for months, and I am beyond frustrated.
I want a response from senior management giving me the reasons why DSTV believes it is not bound by the law. I also want to know exactly WHAT is being done to resolve this, because whatever steps have been taken thus far (if any at all) are clearly insufficient.
