DSTV Showmax Migration ****

I had Showmax mobile so I could watch the EPL. I faithfully paid the R99/m via credit card with no issues.

When ShowMax was cancelled, I was given the opportunity to migrate to the DSTV Compact for R99/m for 12 months. There was such confusion that I had needed to pay R600 initially in order to keep this offer in place. This is because their system was not pocking up this new migration

Everything was fine until a week ago. All the channels disappeared

When enquiring, which I had to do 4 times, they stated they sent an email some time in August instructing me to pay R99 before my actually payment date to keep the subscription and offer active. Because apparently I was also converted to a cash customer, I needed to make a manual payment. As I did not receive any such communication, I did not make payment.

According to them because I did not make this payment, they cancelled the offer and I would need to upgrade to the actual compact subscription

I received no such email and they cannot provide me with a email trace to say it was actually delivered to my email.

They also cannot provide anywhere in their in terms and conditions that this was a requirement in order to keep the offer in place.

Clearly it is easier to just arbitrarily cancel an offer and force you to upgrade your package compared to honoring the initial offer you presented. No wonder people go to ******* streams to watch. Suppose people would rather do that than deal sharks like this.

The crazy thing is I would have eventually upgraded, but as it stand they have lost a customer
