DSTV self service portal useless

I cancelled my DSTV subscription on their self serve portal and they did not bother to cancel it. When I phoned to set the record straight I was told that I do not know what I was doing. They now want to charge me to disconnect the service, which I refuse to do. It seems they are really desperate for money. The service there is really great I can never support a company who does not value its customers. It is my view from other posts here that they deliberately do this in order to get extra monies.
