DSTV *******
I have subscribed to DSTV for many years and payment has been made by debit order, so for all intents and purposes my account is always up to date. Yesterday I was disconnected. I phoned the call center and was advised that an amount of R2400 was outstanding. I spoke to Tholakele who recognised that there was a problem with billing and I was reconnected. 5 minutes later I was again disconnected. I again phoned the call center and spoke to Refilwe who despite trying was unable to solve the problem. I was advised that it had been escalated and that I should leave my decoder on and the matter would be resolved but that the turnaround time was a minimun of 2 hours. The problem had not been sorted by this morning so again phoned to be informed that the problem had in fact not been escalated. It also turns out that I should have been subjected to a price increase in February 2017 and no one had realised this so they were now back dating the price increase. I have in the interim been reconnected but have to pay the amount that was raised yesterday.
I feel that it is very poor service to firstly not notify me of the increase, then not process the increase, not increase the debit order and then a year and a half later process the increase and without notification disconnect my service for non payment without having the decency of notifying me of the situation.
