DSTV POPI violations and harassment

DSTV is spamming me with calls; up to 4 or 5 every single day. Aggressive telemarketers trying to sell me decoder upgrades, insurance and even funeral policies. Clearly, they have also sold my data because suddenly I am getting other spurious calls as well, from calls that simply hang up, bogus consumer surveys, and robot calls. Opting out on the Direct Marketing Association website doesn't help, or indeed the suggested data management option on MultiChoice's own website. Multiple engagements on their Facebook page, several telephone calls and emails to their contact centre have brought no relief from this harassment. Clearly this Multichoice is also violating the POPI Act by sharing my information with 3rd parties. DSTV is losing subscribers by the droves, and their reaction is to mine their database aggressively, and *******ly sell our personal information.
