Dstv- Pensioners

Hi DSTV ... My father is staying at a old age home ..and cannot afford the premium package ...he is on the entry level package ..and it is tight on a Gov pension and to buy food for the month ...the old age consists of multiple single flat rooms ..so the old age don't want subscription for the village ..each pensioner must buy own dish and decoder ...but the village will provide a letter to confirm my father is a resident at the village..plse assist

Good day Ronnie

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

While the plight of pensioners is a concern to all of us at DStv, we do not offer discount to private pensioners. We have investigated the possibility of offering pensioners a discount, it has proved impossible to find a model and administering system that will protect both DStv and our subscriber.

However, a discount is offered to pensioners or retired persons who reside in a retirement home or village registered with DStv. May we recommend that you contact our DStv Commercial team on *** for a more detailed explanation.

We value your continued support and pledge on providing you with the best entertainment.

Kind regards

Dinah

Best regards,

Hi Dinah

I do understand that dstv will not be sure whether the subscriber is a pensioner or not ....in my case my father do reside in a retirement village ...the village will provide a letter that he is a pensioner and do stay in the retirement village ..the village as a body do not have an account
