DSTV penalises their very loyal customers
I was phoned today by the call centre for DSTV asking me if I wanted to continue my price lock for the next two years. The condition of this of course is that you sign a debit order. My experience of debit orders with DSTV are as follows: Month 1 - Subscription R899 - taken from my account R3800 no refund no apology Month 2 - Subscription R899 - taken from my account R3700 no refund no apology
I had to go to my bank personally to block this debit order to stop DSTV taking whatever amount they felt like from my account. It took me 3 months of fighting almost on a daily basis to get this money back from them. Now that I won't sign a new debit order (surprise, surprise) I do not qualify for this new price lock. Beware of signing debit orders with DSTV you could be in for a nasty shock at the end of the month. Never once have I defaulted on my account in all the years I have had DSTV but for being a good customer you get penalised.
Not once did I get an explanation for the amounts taken from my account nor did I get an apology. I asked that someone from management phone me but the call centre found it too much trouble to request a call for me.
