DSTV OVERCHARGING
Plot 90 Leeuport Witbank 1035 31 August 2019
Dear Sir
Complain about DSTV Multichoice overcharging, account no. ***0. Me and my family are using compact which costs R399.00 plus extraview and catchup which costs R549.00. During May 2019 we were disconnected and around June 2019 I called to enquire about the amount that I should pay. The consultant told me that I was owing them R810.00 and I asked why she explained. I wasn’t satisfied but I paid the money .In July we were disconnected because we didn’t have electricity at all. On the fifth or sixth August I enquired about how much I was owing them their machine said I should pay R869.00. I talked to the consultant he \she said that I had to pay R700.00 and something. I started to question myself that why must I pay so much money. When I asked them why should so much money they didn’t give me a proper answer. I wasn’t satisfied with their response. I called again on the 8th of August 2019and I asked them to send my quire to the account department and they said it is going to take 24 hours. I waited for them to send in the proper amount. They had called my husband that we must pay that amount R 869.00. Between the and 13 August 2019 I called and complained about the money we had to pay for our DSTV decoder. I talked to the other lady and she explained that we were charged for three decoders. We only have one decoder the other was struck by lightning and decoder no. *** and the current one is ***. The lady advised me to go to our local DSTV and go through to complain. I went there on the 14th of August 2019 after explaining my problem to the lady she said it is not her problem and I should call DSTV again cause it is their problem. She said I have to talk to the supervisor. I called and explained my problem to the supervisor again but was unable to talk to him\her. By that time I was talking to Phumelelo the consultant she said the system says I should pay R405.00. I asked her three times and confirmed it. I felt relieved and I went to Spar and paid that money. When we arrived home we still found the DSTV disconnected. I called in and they said I had to pay R55.00 and my husband paid R50.00 at PicknPay store the on the 15 August 2019. He arrived at home we were still disconnected. I called in the evening and I was lucky to talk to the supervisor and every time. When I talked to the consultant I had to start from scratch to explain the whole story to the consultant. The supervisor said to me I should go back to DSTV and go through in our area and should ask for my statement for the charges. I told the supervisor that I am not going back there again. When I called DSTV customer care. I use my money and I go to DSTV go through. I use public transport and that is another money that I am wasting. The last word I told them that it was I am not going there they must sort out my account. On the 9th August 2019 they sent a message for the feedback to help them to improve their service. I sent our complains and their response is the system does not recognize your response. I sent email with complains in DSTV help enquiry ref. no.*** and another ref no.***. Out of all this efforts no-one had the decency to contact us so that we can have an agreement. On my report I said the R455.00 that I had paid I want the money back. The message that my husband receive they say thank you for paying insurance for what? They say that the insurance is R455.00 for what??? I feel we were ****** by DSTV from June payment of R810.00 and now asking for R869.00. We are not owing DSTV Multichoice decoder. I ask for a repayment and reconnection and so that they should call my husband for the inconvenience. I asked them to listen to the calls that I made so that they can come with the solutions. May you please help us sir. Yours faithfully R. Senamela Contact no. *** or ***.
