DSTV Now : Error : PER 100202
Approximatley 4 weeks ago, while using DSTV Now, an error popped onto the screen 10 minutes into the programme - the error read 'Oops : Something went wrong, we're unable to play this video right now PER 100202 Retry now'
It is very difficult to take a picture of the error as it only stays on the screen for a second, the screen goes blank and then you have to re-select the programme : I did not think anything of it at the time but it happens every time I use DSTV Now
I travel quite a bit and the error has popped up in all locations I have been in the last 4 weeks no matter what programme I am watching : I have tried to find a solution to this myself online but the only thing I am finding is complaints about the error - no solutions
The first two agent I 'chatted' to on the website today told me that they had updated my details and helped me clear my browsing history : I tried again - the problem continues : The third agent I chatted to asked me to test my internet speed - when I told her there is nothing wrong with my internet speed & asked her to escalate the problem she told me she is waiting for my response & marked the conversation as complete !
What is the problem DSTV?

All that the Private Reply from DSTV on Hello Peter say’s is ‘We acknowledge receiving your complaint and we are attending to it. Feedback will be communicated as soon as possible’ : They say that they have tried to call me twice but the only two missed calls (in quick succession) on Monday came up as SPAM so who knows … I have told them that they can phone me between 07:00 & 21:00 – but still nothing
I followed up again yesterday on the DSTV FB Messenger chat that I logged on Sunday & still no luck : My complaint was escalated on Sunday (after I submitted all the information they required again) but the agent on the chat yesterday does not have any of the information & I had to start all over again … DSTV Now / Error PER100202 / No – I can’t take a picture as the error only shows for one second / Yes – I have cleared my browser error / No – I can’t reset my decoder – if I was near my decoder I wouldn’t be watching DSTV Now / Here are the speed test results etc
I now understand why so many people I know have discontinued their subscription to DSTV
