DSTV Multichoice Kendra Installations

On 10 July 2024 I contacted Multichoice about a signal error and I was told to get a technician out to fix it. On 11 July I got hold of Kendra Installations who came out late afternoon. We were told we must replace the Optical LNB at a cost of R950 and we must replace the Cable at a cost of R78 per metre - supposedly top quality. Call out fee is R350. So, 1 LNB and 18m of cable later we had to pay R2704. We subsequently compared pricing on Google and from other companies and it turns out Kendra Installations, who is an accredited Multichoice installer, is grossly overcharging customers - 50% more on average. This job should have cost less than R1600 including the call out fee. This is UNACCEPTABLE. We would like you to explain how an accredited installer is allowed to do this. We also feel a partial refund must be negotiated. Please provide feedback asap.
