DSTV-Multichoice Horrible service,No accredited installers, And installation *******s
Completely dissatisfied with the DSTV service, the tedious installation process and the constant promise that someone will call me back. I took out the price lock option the beginning of August. 12 days into August I am still struggling with an installer to come an actually install the explorer and all. I have called the call center everyday the whole of last week. My calls were first being escalated to the pricelock department, then I was told they were going to escalate to the installation department, seeing that this took me nowhere I asked for accredited installer contact details. I sent the serial numbers of the decoder, my address and sadly still no installer has come to install the package. Between the different contact agents that I have spoken to on the phone the only conclusive assistance I could really get was we understand your frustration and the call has been escalated. On Friday the gentleman that I spoke to advised that I have a 14 free installation that comes with the explorer and pricelock and it is now 12 days of my wasted airtime, countless escalations and failed promises to contact me back. I called the accredited installer that was supposed to come within 24 hours from last week, he since promised to come on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I called him again this morning and mind that I had to stay home today to ensure there was someone here when they arrived. He said he would get here at 12. His phone has since been off and he is unavailable. When I called the call center now again on day 12 the call center agent says they don't have accredited installers in Cape Town and what she can do is escalate the call,. What is going on at multichoice was my question, I am the one constantly calling you and we are on day 12 of this struggle. She then confirmed that the installation is only valid for 14 days and that we need to get an installer otherwise we will have to pay for the installation out of my own pocket. What kind of theft, ill-treatment of customers and rip of business is this that DSTV-Multichoice is running. I am currently trying to avoid reaching the 14 day mark by calling DSTV, I have stayed home when I should be at work, I have called everyday for the past week and DSTV'S failure to supply an accredited installer and offer a uniform knowledge of the service in its call centre and installers. Has left me so frustrated. DSTV is clearly showing what type of services they actually offer. And unfortunately it a don't get this installation sorted I will have to cancel this whole package and DSTV services or lack there of. I hope this escalation is
