DSTV (Multichoice) grabbing your money without your knowledge.

On 3 April 2018 I noticed that my bank account was debited by M-Choice ********** 9 for the amount of R20. (Twenty Rand). The fact is that Multichoice initiated this transaction without our knowledge or permission. We pay the DTSV subscription on the last day of the month via internet banking and have been doing this for at least 7 years. On query to DTSV Service, the following was stated:

(me) R20.00 debited from our FNB account for M-Choice ********** 9 on 3 April 2018. Correct this immediately - we have not authorised any debit payments in favour of M-Choice. Acc number is ********** 2.

(dstv) The amount of R20 had been debited due to your available credit of R489 to make up the total of R509. ~TJH

(me) *******. Payment of R 509 was made on 31/3/2018. You have no right to debit our bank account without our permission.

(dtsv) The amount debited has covered your services for May as well. ~TJH

This borders on ********** transaction generation - especially in the light that we have never used their debit order system. There has never been a late or missed payment from out side - in any case, the DSTV fee is a monthly prepaid system which can be stopped at any time. I will still insist that DSTV refunds the payment - I should not have to spend valuable time reversing the payment via my bank.

You are seriously testing my patience. I just now got a SMS asking me to pay R20. Get your financing in order. Nobody owes anybody anything. My next payment will be on 1 May 2018 for R509. My last payment on 31 March 2018 was R509. The new sub for Compact Plus from 1 April is R509. Get somebody who can count to 10 to check your accounting.
