DStv ****ming the old and vulnerable

My father is so old, someone born in 1952 is old and most likely to be taken advantage of. He pays R130 for DStv, but this month after paying R166 he was disconnected with claims that he did not pay insurance and he has to pay R270 extra for that so that he can be connected. He does not even remember agreeing to opening anything of that sort. He called the head office and requested that they cancel those things, but he was told that he still needs to pay. With what money is he going to pay that with? A pensioner? Come on, I'm definitely buying him OVHD, this is absurd.
