DSTV Maponya *****

I manage my mother's account and the service offered to her is disgusting. This review is based on her experience at DSTV(Maponya Mall) over the years but is as recent as today (4 October 2024). The error on the decoder was showing an error that the account was owing (Which was incorrect because I had paid at the end of last month and reflected on the statement on myDstv app, which in fact I had paid in access of more than R400 to what was supposed to be paid), secondly, when we used the WhatsApp service now it showed that the account is linked to two main decoders each with a extraview and they were disconnected, which in reality my mother's account has one main decoder linked to two extraviews, it has always been like that for almost 10 years now, things on your system decided to change today.

The issue is the consultants at DSTV Maponya Mall always take advantage of unsuspecting elderly people. Today instead of fixing the linking of decoders and clearing the errors, they made my mother to pay some amount without giving her the receipt to “fix” her account DSTV which the removed all the extra views and kept the main decoder and also delinked Steam. They told her she needs to pay again to fix linking.

This is not the first time previously a similar thing happened with issues with extraview, when she went to DSVT Maponya Mall the consultants accused her of setting up her DSTV *******ly and told her she needed to pay to get it it fixed to which we were surprised they set it up and sold us the decoders. Other times they sold her remotes when the issue was a system error.

The fact is my Mother’s account ***3 is paid and maintained monthly, The consultants at Maponya Mall are always de*****ing unsuspecting elderly people, even saying “Nay’ imali” (Here comes money) when an elder goes there to seek assistance. It’s disgusting that such ***** happens all the time, I’m 100% sure that if you guys took time to investigate you would find more victims being de*****ed by these consultants, my mother only gets genuine help if I accompany her. Disgusting!!
