DStv is running a Billing ****
I downgraded my services from Access to Easyview on the 30th of August 2021 and I also requested to remove my PVR settings.
I made a payment of R29.00 on the same day 30 August 2021 which is also my payment date.
I was shocked to receive the following SMS on the 30th of August 2021 "Thank you for your payment, unfortunately the amount paid is less than required. Please pay R79 using payat.io/dstv/***0."
I called the call center and spoke to Fernando Desha who told me am owing R79.00 from the previous month which is not possible because I paid R409.00 the previous month which covered my subscription (Compact @R299 for 3 Month Discount) and my PVR functions (R105.00).
How can I owe for a month without my services being cancelled ?
On the 4th of September 2021 DStv deactivated my services and I received the following SMS “We've not received your payment and had to stop your viewing. To keep watching, pay R215 using ref no. ***0 or click payat.io/dstv/***0”
When I logged into the DStv self service portal it shows that my balance to pay is R295.97.
What kind of **** is DStv running at 144 Bram Fischer Drive ?
First they say am owing R79.00 then send me an sms stating that am supposed to pay R215.00 and their self service portal is saying I must pay R295.97.
How is this all possible when am on a R29.00 package ?
Three amounts for one account which has one decoder.
DStv is an *********** institution that thrives on ******** its clients and am tired of having to call their call centre every two months because of wrong billing.
DStv is a useless service provider who disconnects their clients services even after they have paid for their subscription on time.
Am not shocked at DStv’s incompetence am just angry that they take my money and disconnect my services.
Am glad that I have signed up to Netflix and I request that DStv deactivates my account / customer ID with them permanently.
P.S - It’s such a pity that the Explora decoders are linked to the DStv smart card otherwise I would have sold my decoder on OLX.
