DSTV is pathetic!!!!!

So I decided that I want the Premium Price Lock option because the Premium bouquet on its own costs just about the same and a decoder upgrade was needed. When I was called and everything was processed, I was told that I should deactivate my old account when I activate the new one to avoid being double billed and I was also notified that because my bill was already paid, I am now in a credit. The decoder was delivered within 2 days, installation was scheduled for the very next day and took all of 15 minutes. Once installed, I called Multichoice to deactivate my old account and activate the new one. Everything was done and I assumed that the credit from the old account would be transferred to the new account. Fast forward, on the 26th of January I was waiting to see if the debit would go off and it didn't. On the 27th, sure enough, the debit goes off but not for the agreed upon contractual R949, it was for an entire R1490. Furious, I immediately called Multichoice to query this madness and I was told by the consultant (I wish I could remember her name) that its a prorated cost plus the full debit amount. Also the credit I was previously told about, is sitting in my old and very closed account because I was never asked what I want to happen to it. The consultant then asks me if I want those funds kept as Box Office credit, or transferred to my new account and I will be debited less for the next month or if I want it deposited back into my bank account. Having been a Multichoice customer for many years, I know exactly how they work. They would still continue to debit the full amount whether I have a credit or not, so I opted to have the credit deposited back into my bank account. I was then told that it would take up to 7 working days for the reversal to reflect, I said that's bulls**t, I want it done immediately because that is money I had other plans for. The consultant then said she will send a request to finance to rush it. I agreed to that, all the while knowing that it wouldn't happen and I would have to wait the 7 working days. On working day number 9 I decided to call and query not having received the refund. I speak to Sydney who confirms that finance rejected the request because they require proof of payment. I protest because every single DSTV payment was done by cellphone banking before the Price Lock debit started and if I hadn't called, I would never have known that this is the issue. Not even so much as an sms to say hey you're not getting your money back. He says its procedure that proof is provided, I demanded to speak to a manager. Pamela then comes on the phone and repeats what Sydney had told me and I demanded that payment be made that same day because I was messed around for more than a week and now I'm being asked for another 7 working days to be messed around some more. Pamela said that she will speak to finance and call me back, which never happened. Later in the same day when I came to terms with the fact that she wasn't going to call, I called Multichoice and spoke to Kenneth who was extremely polite and very helpful. Kenneth confirmed that proof of payment isn't required because all payments were made directly from my bank account and he's done plenty reversals before, proof of payment is only required for cash payments. Sure enough, Kenneth did request a reversal because yesterday, the 10th of February, I get an sms saying that they are unable to refund me because proof of payment is required and I should call them. Firstly, this again?? Secondly, I must call you?? What kind of **** is Multichoice running?? I am sick and tired of this dance that we're doing just to get back money that you had no right taking from me in the first place! All of you are pathetic, money-hungry scoundrels! Disgusting and disappointing! The only thing Multichoice has going for them is consultants like Kenneth. Pamela is useless and shouldn't be a manager or supervisor or whatever the hell she is. Where is Multichoice's competition??? I would gladly move over, in a heartbeat! Get your damn act together!
