Dstv is exploiting people

I am so frustrated and angry with DSTV. My payment method is debit order. On the 25th of January they debited R498 into my account while they were suppose to deduct R900. Then this morning they disconnected my services and send me a text message that I was owing R645, they have included R50 for reconnection fee. I couldn't understand why they didn't deduct the whole amount on the 25th and why I was still charge for reconnection fee it was their fault. This morning when I called the call center the agent she put me on hold for 20 minutes without resolving my query. Then this afternoon they debited R400, then they say I'm owing R837 for next mont. how come? My subscription fee R450 including PVR functions. Your service is poor .Why is dstv ripping me off? Please assist

Hi Linda,

It is with regret that we learn of the frustration and inconvenience you have experienced with our service.  Please accept our sincerest apologies in this regard.

Our intention is certainly not to provide a sub-standard service to our customers. We also apologise for the delayed response.

The debit order instruction was sent to debit the amount that was in arrears on the account as the services would be disconnected. This would put the account on a zero balance, before reconnecting. We do see you were assisted an Ad-Hoc debit order instruction was sent for the additional amount. Currently the account is up-to-date. No reconnection fee was charged.

Please be assured of our best service and intentions at all times.

Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us send us an email at ***.

Kind regards,
DStv: Hello Peter Team.

Best regards,
