DSTV is absolutely terrible - I will be cancelling

So to say that I am not impressed would be the understatement of the year.

My Aunt recently passed away and my cousins (her son and daughter) gave me her decoder which is basically brand new.

I wanted this as we would be using it as an extra view decoder and so i contacted DSTV to please have this registered to my name (our DSTV package) as I would like to use this as an extra view decoder, we provided DSTV with the following.

1. My aunts death Certificate 2. A certified copy of my Aunts ID 3. A letter from my cousin that stated he gave me the decoder and that asks for it to be registered in my name. 4. An affidavit from the police station that states this was their mother and they were her children. 5. My cousins ID. 6. My ID. 7. Change of ownership forms.

And even with all of this it is still not enough, a lady by the name of Lerato phoned me yesterday to tell me that I would need to go to the masters of high court and he would need to make a decision on whether or not I would be able to keep this decoder!!

I told Lerato that her only surviving immediate family i.e. her son AND daughter gave this to me i dont see what the problem is and does she not tell me what if it comes back to bite DSTV in the butt (they get it trouble for registering it to my name) I said to her that CANNOT happen as I have given you EVERYTHING that you would need as proof that her kids gave this to me and still she tells me that I must go to the masters of high court.

I then asked her to speak to her manager and she tells me that I cannot as she is working from home, so I asked her why are you working from home (this question was asked with reason) does she not tell me mam you know because of COVID 19 and my response was so you can sit comfortably in your home and work from home but you want me to go and stand in a que at court during COVID and the fact that we are now going into wave number 3.

I told Lerato that I want to speak to her manager that same day and if this thing is not registered into my name and able for me to use that I would be cancelling my DSTV account and surprise surprise no one has called me so I will be cancelling my account and DSTV will loose out on R1000.00 due to their own incompetency.
