DStv is a ****

I'm complaining on behalf my mother who is a pensioner. I'm currently unemployed I'm not able to help my mom with her account anymore so she has missed few payments and was immediately disconnected. Their agents would call and ask why she longer pays and she would tell them she no longer has assistance,her pension money is not enough because she has other things to do. A few weeks back they called again. Then on the 12th they sent her an sms offering her to pay an amount of R199 to get connected. The today we get cash to pay as the deal was somewhat affordable. Before we paid I tell my mom we should call them again to make sure if the deal is legit and still valid. I speak to one of their agents to verify and he checked for me and confirms everything to be true..I even asked him about another amount of R 157 from their WhatsApp service as I was confused. He explained that the R 157 excludes insurance. I can choose to pay R199 or R157 either way we get connected. Before paying I call again just to be sure and I still get the same information then I was confident to pay..15 minutes after payment I call again to ask ask if we are connected only to be told by another agent that the account still owes R246 rand..we need to pay for reconnection. That amount of R246 came a few minutes after I called the agent before paying,this amount was from their whatsapp service. It was no longer R157 but R240 in a matter of minutes. I asked still about the quick change ,was still told to pay R199. Now the amount I payed was told it paid for other services that were outstanding,fine but my frustrations is why were we told lies..the agent said the deal is as is,we pay we get connected no ups and downs. Before we would get ridiculous amounts of my mom owing R800/R700/600 out of nowhere that's why she couldnt afford it anymore. I used their chatbox to get assistance and the lady Tracy just told me to pay even after explaining the inconvenience causes as we did not have money yet we still sacrificed on other things we needed because of the false deal they offered. No remorse non what so ever even the agents I spoke to after payment,they sounded disinterested,I felt like me pouring my hurt and frustrations out fell on deaf ears because they were so cold they could wait for the call to end. DStv is really causing so much heartache and inconvenience to people. It's ******** people. I am so disgusted by their way of running their organization,it's false and deceiving. My mom will be closing her account for good. Thanks for nothing DStv,😡
