dstv is a rip-off. This is why, the other day I phoned for assistance and some stupid so called consultant could not tell me that I must set my new HD decoder to universal to pick up the signal. She said I must call the installers so that they change the LBN. I lost R350 today so that some a** smelling guy comes and just uses a remote controller to get the decoder to pick up the signal and I got charged R350 callout fee and this after their service on your dstv website says there is no callout fee. For me, dstv and its call centre are a bunch of *******. I am very unhappy with the turn out of events. Just to move to hd decoder it has cost me R800 and this not installing an explora. This is classic example of poor service. Not only did I pay for something that a knowledgeable consultant could have guided me through, but I wasted my 20 minutes of airtime being given wrong information from an imbecile working for dstv. Surely I am not the first person on earth to install an hd decoder. How could they not know that it must be tuned universal.
