DSTV IS A ****
Decoder stopped viewing and after being tested at one of the dstv agency Bloemfontein the technicians concluded that the dstv smartcard reader is not working as it is faulty. However i am expected to purchase a new one regardless that it's manufacturers fault fo designing a device that won't last. So every time the decoder is faulty I must keep purchasing new decoder's. Phone last longer and they are not fixed like a decoder they are subject to fall, cracks and others but it will hardly stop functioning due to sim card reader being faulty.

13 Sept 2023, 11:15Edward Nhlapo just spoke to me and he confirmed that Explora 1 decoder's are being fased out regardless of wether it's being used by the customer and by their response they not going to assist they just want people to buy new decoders every 5 to 10 years and those that were manufacturered with a faulty components won't be reimbursed but will have to keep purchasing new decoder's whenever Multichoice wants to increase revenue lost due to customers leaving dstv for other platforms such as Netflix, Disney and many more. DSTV IS A ****, ID ADVICE PEOPLE TO OPT FOR OTHER SERVICE PROVIDERS.
