DSTV internal systems joined with "fishing" and "****" SMS?

DSTV without any feedback suddenly blocked channels (with known debit order going off) and then sent SMS with some "obscure" link to do payment. All payments were up to date. Upon investigation it was discovered that previously inactive card suddenly became active and that existing DSTV subscription were block (also internally initiated by DSTV internal sytems). To conclude DSTV internal systems appears to be activating and blocking channels and sending "fishing" link(s) to customer, which is considered extremely unprofessional as well as perhaps ***** based. Is DSTV internal personnel working together with external "fishing" **********? Should I report the matter to the police?
