DSTV has ruined our life.

Last night I received a call from a debt collector saying I am in bad credit for an amount never received by Multichoice. I have NEVER received an email, text message, phone call, etc. for this outstanding amount. The debt collectors mentioned an amount of R270 something and when I phoned Multichoice today, they said it was R453. Please note that I phoned THEM. They did not phone me. I paid it straightaway. However, because I now have bad credit due to this, the piece of land we have been trying to buy for months has been denied. Is this acceptable??? I am awaiting a call from Multichoice debtors. This of course has yet to happen. I have a debit order with Multichoice and they could easily have added this to the debit order. I honestly can afford R453. I feel the way they have dealt with this is disgusting and incorrect and it has now affected the rest of our life.

Hello Dinah, I have a list of all my SMS's and have just gone through them right this minute. THere is nothing from from DSTV. In fact, my debit order went off for R1004.00 on the 3rd of July - I have an SMS notification for that. I got an SMS yesterday (the 13th) stating what I need to owe to get reconnected fromthe previous month and I paid that straightaway. The problem is not with all that. The problem is with the R279 that I apparently owed and was sent to a debt collecting company. However, when I phoned Multichoice, they said it was R453. Did you not even read my original comment? It has nothing to do with all that. Please look at it and read it and speak to your debt collecting company and work it out. It seems you don't know what is going on and yet you are very quick to call in that debt collecting company and give me bad credit. The debt collecting people said R279, Multichoice said R453, nobody knows what is is actually for, I have received no notification for that and there seems to be no record for that. What kind of company does that??????

No response yet from Dinah or anybody. I see there have been numerous problems with accounts and billlings department. Time to change staff perhaps?
