DSTV frustrations
Have you experienced the same frustration with DSTV that I have? I paid the correct amount on 30 July in exactly the same way as the previous 19 months, by way of electronic transfer. Only to receive an SMS yesterday, 'We've stopped your DSTV as you've not paid. To reconnect, pay ..., using ref. no. ********** 1. Once paid, we'll reconnect.' The service was already suspended by that time. While DSTV is repeating its programs ad nauseam perhaps I might consider one of the alternative options available to South Africans.

There is no payment reflecting on the account. Please send us the proof of payment so that we can assist accordingly.
Please note that a bank statement only is not sufficient proof as it contains very limited information.
Ideally a valid slip or, EFT bank notification on a bank letter head, or receipt showing the amount, date and reference used, and payment reference number, would suffice as a proper proof of payment.
Kindly send an email and attach the proof of payment to *** and *** .
