DSTV found another way to ***** our money
DSTV has found another way to ***** money from customers. In year's gone by you could upgrade and downgrade your package twice a month - but this was stopped as DSTV must have been losing money because they changed that to only once a month. Now DSTV *****s more money by only allowing you to downgrade your package on the day on which your payment was due - if you missed that date by even just one day - too bad, the SYSTEM only allows it to be downgraded on payment date - nice way to force you to pay for another month. The SYSTEM is controlled by human beings who have obviously fixed it so that this is the case. Please don't think that we are so stupid as to believe that DSTV did not arrange this on purpose as another mechanism to force money from clients. I am a pensioner, want to downgrade the useless DSTV service to R99 a month and because I missed it by one day am now forced to pay R524.00 for a whole month's unwanted viewing. If I cancel my subscription one day after payment date I am still owing the subscription for the whole month. So that is effectively a cancellation clause of 30 days. Please show me in my contact with you where I signed up and agreed to a 30 day cancellation notice. I will definitely be taking this complaint to the relevant authorities. Tired of being taken for a ride by all and sundry in South Africa.
