DSTV downgrade only possible on payment date

DSTV will not allow you to downgrade your package in the middle of the month. They will allow you to upgrade whenever you want but not downgrade. I don't think this is fair and I am sure it goes against the consumer protection act. I should be able change anytime I don't want their services anymore.
