Dstv disconnected but still owe them for what exactly

My aunt dstv was disconnected before before my due date i called multichoice to notify them of this as its been on going for sometime but it was never reconnected back despite the call to notify them of the mistake now i want to recconect it and recconect on a easyview package as i have kids visitors who wants to watch tv to my surprise i was told i need to pay R509 before this could be effected which i dont understand i have not been watching dstv as it was disconnected before my due date but now i have to pay 509 for what i know of the reconnection fee but does it cost 500 i thought it was a month to month subscription not some kind of a debt that i need to pay every month even when am using ur service u need to get this fixed my grand kids need to watch the cartoons,smart card number ***,id ***,d maluleke,stand no 34 xigamani village,***.
