Dstv Decoder Repair

I have a dstv decoder explora i brought it in 2012 it was a two year warranty.I lost my job in 2013 since then I never pay monthly payment.Now My decoder is not working it says the hard drive is not working.<br> <br> Last week I opened the decoder because it was a two warranty.I used the dryer to clean the decoder then I was able to see channel 100,but when I try to increase the sound it takes morethan 5 min to increase.Today I took the decoder to Multi choice in magalies view Rustenburg and they told me they cant help me because I open the decoder they cant test the decoder.I must go and buy the new decoder.<br> <br> The warranty is finished long time about a year ago.I ask them to check what can be the problem then I will pay what ever the amount they want.If the decoder is not repairable I wil buy another one.I want to know if the decoder can be fix or not?If the answer is yes where can I go because I cant go to that place again.
