DSTV - DEBIT ORDER Re-Activation

I am appauled with DSTV, I cancelled my subscription with them on the 29th October 21, also noting that I had previously chatted to them via their website to find out what notice that needed to enable me to cancel, I was told via the website helpline that I could cancel immediately, what they failed to tell me was they needed a week prior to cancellation (or thereabouts) to ensure that the Debit order does not go off on the 1st Nov 2021, needless to say the debit order did go off and I had to reverse this with my bank which then cost me R110 to reverse. On the 1st December 21 no debit order went off so I assumed that the subscription had been cancelled, however what I did not know was they had re-activated my account on the 2nd Dec 21 without my knowledge, I received no notification of this in any form via SMS or email. On the 31st Dec 21 whilst I was on holiday in JHB I was then notified via SMS that a debit order of R1868 would be going off on the 2 Jan 2022. I was fuming as I had not budgeted on this amount and I was worried my other debit orders would not go off. Today the 4th of Jan I checked my bank account and the debit order has gone off. What I fail to understand is, when you cancel your subscription, what right does DSTV have to re-activate your account without your knowledge. After speaking to a DSTV consultant on the 29th or 30th Dec, I was told that it was a system error? This is unacceptable. What more must I do other than cancel my subscription for them to realise I do not want DSTV anymore. Completely horrified.
