DSTV Customer Service Doll STILL STILL : THE TWILIGHT EPISODE

this is a third follow up to my original review. It has been almost two months that I have taken up an internet package with DSTV and, accordingly, signed up for a debit order. DSTV undertook then to have an internet router delivered to me within seven (7) days. Sadly, I am still waiting. This despite the fact that the debit order has since been activated and a link for activation of the router has already been sent to me. This after making several calls to their call centre and 4 reviews on this platform

So, on the 7th May, a Saturday, I received a call from a gentleman who identified himself as Ntando. He said he will be doing everything within his powers to resolve this matter. He confirmed my physical address (the sixth person from DSTV to do so). He confirmed my email address and undertook to keep me informed throughout the process. He said the router will be delivered during the week commencing the 9th of May, if there's a problem he would contact me.

The router was not delivered. Late on Friday the 13th I wrote to him to tell him that the router was not delivered in the week as he promised. He wrote back to say "I THINK IT WILL BE DELIVERED IN THE NEXT WEEK. I GAVE HIM ALL THE INFORMATION"

The router was not delivered in the week commencing the 16th. On Saturday, the 21st I wrote to him to inform him of the sad news. he hasn't come back to me as yet.

Here's an interesting thing. Before writing to Ntando at the DSTV Helpdesk a lady who identified herself as Nokuthula called me from DSTV (*** - i177). She was actually responding to my initial request for a callback re the internet package. I told her that I have already signed up and have , after almost two months and several calls and complaints, not as yet taken delivery of the internet router. She went through the notes which, according to her, indicate that the router was delivered on the 25th March and that it has already been activated

Curiouser and Curiouser as the plot sickens. And frankly it would take the imagination of Samuel Beckett to make up a story of such absurd ineptitude.

Reviewer Update
Almost three months after signing on to an internet package with DSTV and being promised that an internet router would be delivered within seven days , no router has been delivered to me yet. This despite the fact that I wrote 5 negative reviews on this platform regarding this matter.

The pattern is as follows: I write a review on Hellopeter; I get a pro forma reply acknowledging my complaint and promising to get back to me soonest; if I am lucky someone from their ‘Hellopeter team’ ( yes, they have one) gets back to me and promises that they will personally see to it that the router is delivered to me within days. The stock complaint has been that their courier ON THE DOT cannot find my physical address. But I have confirmed my address with at least 6 people from DSTV and they found the address easy to follow

A few facts: after my last review Andile from the DSTV Hellopeter team phoned me to tell me that my order was cancelled on the 19th May. At whose request because I didn’t ask for it to be cancelled he couldn’t tell me ? He promised to investigate and come back to me the next night. He didn’t

Last week Thursday I got a call from Zandile who said that the matter was escalated to her. She has my address and can it makes sense and she promised that the router will be delivered to me by Monday the 30th. She promised to alert me once the router was dispatched.

The router was not delivered by Monday and no call from Zandile.

So many promises made and none of them kept. This is bad service with impunity
