DSTV Compact *****
<p>After many years I have decided to bite the bullet and activate my DSTV.</p> <p>I choose the compact package cause its in my budget and had all the channels i frequently watch.</p> <p>Now, here is the catch, not even a month into my subscription my favorite channel is gone suddenly, the Discovery channel.</p> <p>I can understand popup channels, but how can they just cancell a channel on an subscription cause they can???? Does this not fall under bait marketing ?? </p> <p> </p> <p>DSTV give me what i pay for, when i activated my DSTV the discovery channel was part of the package, bring it back.</p>

Investigation channel Discovery ID has since been replaced by a new high-quality mystery and suspense channel D Xtra on DStv channel 171.
ID Xtra is a new and more dramatic version of Discovery ID which showcases the best in gripping stories and dramatic reconstructions of everyday people behaving badly, all filmed in a contemporary and stylish format.

Thanks for the information, might want to inform your call centre about whats going on as they had no clue as to why the Discovery channel was missing. I had a look at the "new" ID Xtra, its the same type of programming as which is on Channel 170?? . I could not find any type of the same content as which is in the Discovery ID channel on the new ID Xtra, hence it cant be called an replacement for the channel or even an alternative, have u heard about the expression of comparing apples with apples.
Thanks but no thanks, give me my Discovery channel back please. If it aint broken dont fix it, does anybody even ever consult the viewers about what they want? Well, I WANT MY DISCOVERY CHANNEL BACK PLEASE
