DSTV - clueless
I have kept DSTV for the sport as the rest of their channels (the ones they have decided not to drop) have become repeats of the same old, same old. DSTV have schedules for the sports which are so inaccurate - you PVR events only to find the last half an hour does not record and no-one at DSTV has the ability to realise that adjustments should be made.
They then show adverts exactly when the event details and participants are coming out so an important part of know which athletes etc. are participating is essentially deleted from view - this has happened in the swimming countless times.
Finally, they have schedules showing events and then just show highlights of other events and don't show the event or come into it late - this has happened with a few events and as we speak, they had the triathlon which was scheduled on 203 to start at 7h50 and all they were showing was swimming highlights. They have now actually changed the schedule to show swimming?
So no coverage of the triathlon then?
DSTV - you guys are struggling with holding onto your viewers and you would like to continue blaming this on streaming services etc. but this is not the total truth - you guys have no idea of how to look after your most loyal customers and have no idea of how to operate a service to ensure your customers remain - you are the architects of your own downfall.

We understand that you find sports content frustrating. The sports content we do not air is content that we do not have broadcasting rights to.
Having said that, there is a lot of new content available on a weekly basis – there are never-seen-before shows and movies that premiere every week. As this is spread across many channels (and customers tend to stick to their few favourite channels), we recommend using the TV Guide to see what is on across all the channels.

You have obviously not read my complaint properly which just proves the standard of customer service.
I am not talking about sports you do not have access to. Read my complaint, there are various complaints about the sports you are broadcasting and not doing a good job of - The adverts coming on at critical times, your times of schedules not being accurate etc.
Did you even bother to read my complaint? Or are you just given some drivel as a reply because you could not be bothered to actually investigate and respond properly.
On top of this, another complaint is that the Supersport App on the decoder where you can check scores etc. has not included Olympics. This used to be updated with schedules, results and medal tables and there is no sign of any Olympics in the menu.
Just how lazy are the staff at DSTV getting?
In terms of the actual content that you do have available - it is a joke. DSTV is great at repeating shows and have now resorted to showing more B and C grade movies than ever before. You guys take away channels which are enjoyable and then add channels that do not cater for that same demographic.
An example is the music channels - you got rid of MTV, VH1 etc. and now I am lucky if I can find a decent song on one of your 5 music channels.
I am a premium subscriber and I need to ask you - why should I continue, you have done nothing to incentivise me to stay with DSTV and your response to my complaint proves the lack of proper customer service.
When are DSTV going to understand that it is us who are the customers and the more we get this ******* service, the more of us will leave - and then DSTV wonder why they are losing so many subscribers.
