DSTV change in plans
<p>We have been DSTV subsribers for the last 14 years, mostly on Select2 package for Kyknet, but also upgrading for periods of time to Premium</p> <p> </p> <p>In Select2 package we had channel 187 included, today I found out by phoning call centre that Dstv had decided to TAKE THIS AWAY, so its no lonher part of my channel bouquet, sommer net so, no change in my premium.</p> <p>Is this allowed in terms of the Consumer Act</p> <p> </p> <p>Would love someone to really take on Dstv, no wonder people embrace Netflix and other platforms...</p>

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.
Please be advised that information was provided that the Discovery World is no longer available on the DStv platform. We have launched a new channel called Discovery Family on DStv Channel 135. Select 1 and 2 packages have since been ring-fenced - this means that no new customers will be allowed on these packages and no new channels will be added to these packages in future. Please note that this means that DStv Select customers will no longer receive Discovery World as we are only maintain the package as it was discontinued in April 2013. You may switch to DStv Family for the same value as the Select package. Discovery Family is available on the DStv Family package billed R219.00 per month.
