DSTV cancellation, no communication sent regarding amounts owing.

I cancelled my DSTV subscription online in October 2020 and thought all was sorted. A month later I had not DSTV and thought great that was that. I received no further communication from DSTV (multichoice). A week ago I received a call from a debt recovery agency saying that I owe money for my DSTV account. I thought this was a **** as I had never received an invoice or any communication making me aware of any amount owing. DSTV have all my contact details. I contacted DSTV and spoke to 3 different people who battled to explain the process, eventually putting me on hold for 30 minutes and then ending the call. I eventually got through to cancellations (number not available on the website) who told me she could see I had cancelled online but that there was a small amount owing. I had asked why I was never sent any communication regarding the amount owing and she stated that it is "strange" but on her system she could see that no sms / email had been sent to alert me to the amount owing. She also confirmed that there was a large amount reflecting, but this was a reconnection fee and that it is only due if I wish to reconnect. Nolomthando also stated that she had now cancelled correctly as the online cancellation process I followed online was incorrect. She said we have to phone in to cancel. I paid the small amount of R 207 and thought that was that. When I went on to check my dstv online the "reconnection amount" has increased. I need someone to sort this out. I was promised an email explaining the amount due as well as the correct cancellation procedure, this was 15 March 2021 and to date (25 March) I have received no communication.
