Dstv call centre fails to provide a resolution

Customer No. ***6...I called this morning and explained to a call centre agent that the decoder I have been using wont switch on. I have another older decoder which also i was informed dstv took it upon themselves to declare as second hand dsd990 which I inserted my smart card into. After successfully scanning an error E17 occurred smart card and device marriage conflict. Basically the decoder and the smart card need to married and I must call the call centre. The consultant refused to do so saying it was not possible. And that I must go pay for another smart card. I have gone through the web in search of similar situation as mine and found that it has been done before. I refuse to spend more to be given a service that I have paid for. Refer to this link as proof that you are able to resolve error e 17 at call centre level. [URL Removed]
