DSTV call centre? Avoid it at all costs

On 21 March 2022 I called the DSTV call centre for assistance with changing my payment date. I first reach a call centre agent with a terrible line and she can’t hear me so ‘transfers’ me but I hold the lines for minutes on end. I call back and a lady by the name of Thandokazi Nkhulu answers the phone but first finishes a conversation with someone in the office before even greeting me. I ask her why she would answer a call and talk to someone else knowing full well that I am on the line, her response was ‘what do I want her to do?’ I then proceed to explain my request and ask her to go through a few amounts, she has no sense of cer*****y what my charges are and it keeps changing, I explain to her that the amounts keep changing, she raises her voice and tells me I don’t understand her, I tell her that she isn’t listening to me and doesn’t allow me to speak, and she then says if this is how I want to treat her she isn’t going to assist me. I can’t understand how DSTV employs such unprofessional people! She has no tact and no ability to break down charges to customers. Poor communication skills and arrogant and she does not know how to treat customers - she needs serious training, especially in a call centre environment. She doesn’t even allow me to continue talking when she ‘transfers’ me to her supervisor, and yet again I hold the line until I can’t bear it anymore. I call back and ask for a supervisor, I am then promised that a Fatima Carim has requested my number as she is busy at the moment but will call me back to discuss my complaint… the day has come and gone and still no call back from the supervisor.
