Dstv Call Agents Do Not Know What They Are Doing!!!
I am currently on a price lock with dstv for 21 months now. I had no problem for the first 12 months, my payments were done through debit order. In February 2017 my bank account had changed and I had to call multichoice to update my banking details. I was told that setting up a debit order would take up to 6-8 weeks so in the meantime I would have to pay via eft and then call in to allocate money to my payment plan. In April 2017, the first debit order went off and then for some reason, the debit order stopped after that.
I would call in every 3rd or 5th week to ask if the debit order has been set up but I was just told to call in at a later stage. While this was going on, I would pay my account via eft. Eventually when the debit order was set up, dstv wanted to take an amount other than R529. When I queried, I was told that all the money I have been paying had not been allocated to my payment plan but has rather been paid into my residential account, which is why the debit order was more than what it should be. I then I had to transfer the money between the residential account and payment plan but still every month after that, dstv has been wanting to debit order an amount higher than what I should be paying. This resulted in a debit order failing and me having to eft every month for the last 8 months. Just yesterday my dstv was suspended yet my account is up to date. Every agent I talk to gives me a different story. I was told on Monday I owe an amount of R1200, yesterday morning I was told my account is up to date and then last night when I had to reconnect my services, I was told I was in arrears of R913.08. I can’t understand what’s going on, where are these amounts coming from?? Even with proof of payment, I still get told that I owe money on my account.
Can this please be sorted out as I am sick and tired of having to call multichoice every few days and weeks when clearly the fault is with multichoice.
