DSTV Box Office Free Movie Promotion

DSTV is advertising on their channels as well as on the Web 1 free movie per week for 4 weeks from 18 May to 30 June 2020. On their ad it says the following: "This reward is available to all active Premium customers with a PVR device paying a monthly Access fee".

So last week I rented 2 movies, of which one was credited and the 2nd one was for my own account. But on enquiry today they actually informed me that the free movie promotion applies onthe following conditions:

1) You have to be a Premium subscriber - which I am 2) You have to be up to date - which I am 3) PVR device - which I have 4) You had to be active on Box Office renting movies for 2 years - Been active for 30 months 5) But even if you meet all these requirements, they only offered this to "Selected" customers

Then they told me that , apart from only offering to Selected clients, I also have not been active on Box Office and that I only rented my 1st movie on the 25th of May. Although I have proof that I have been renting before for quite a while (although it is on their system they cannot see it for some or the other mysterious reason), they kept on saying I have only rented my 1st movie on 25 May 2020.

Now where the" been active" on Box Office story fits in, is because the movie I rented on 25 May was for free, but because they say your first rental on Box Office is free that is why I did not pay for it and not because of the free movie promotion offering, as according to DSTV staff, I was not part of the selection been selected as I did not get an SMS to say that I have been selected.

So now my question is what are the T & C;s then, I meet all the requirements but excluded. If DSTV knew that it was only for selected customers, why then go public with the Advert and states it is available to all Premium PVR customers if indeed it is not? The principal of application is completely skewed here, telling loyal customers you are all going to be rewarded, but then only reward a selection of them, that is false advertising. I do not care about the R100 I would have been saving on these movies, all about the principal of ************** and the application of the whole concept
