DSTV bad service
As a paying customer, I have not been able to get the service I paid for, for more than a year. The decoder loses signal. I did all they wanted me to do (hard reboot, taking decoder to shop, calling installer) but when I get back home it plays a bit and then loses network. Dstv catch up on the decoder just shows limited programmes. I have called the call centre, asked for the matter to be escalated twice. I was told I would be contacted between 2 to 24 hours... it's been a week and no one has called me. When I ask to speak to the managers, I'm told to wait as they are in meetings. The waiting will range from nothing less than 30min to over an hour, only to be told the will call you back but don't. It's really frustrating especially that it's been going on for so long and that I even had to go watch the Rugby World Cup Final elsewhere. This monopolizing of pay TV really show disregard for the user. It's like they just want your money and don't care about you or what you want to watch.

Please accept our apologies if your experience with DStv has not been as it should and for any inconvenience, this may have caused.
Kindly note, the problem you're experiencing will only ever occur in 2 instances; either when the decoders are faulty or when there is a problem with your installation.
Now you've taken the decoders for testing and saw they were working fine, the only other problem there could be would be the installation. An accredited installer would not refer you to call the contact centre for assistance with this, as this is a matter they would need to resolve, seeing that a "searching for signal" type error is not something that corrected from within.
Kindly click on this link to find an accredited installer in your area who will be able to assist with your installation. https://www.dstv.co.za/get-dstv/installers/
Should you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
