DSTV are *******!!
I have been disconnected now 7 times in one month. I have been a DSTV Customer now for over 10 years. Last year October I cancelled my premium account for DSTV Compact price lock package in order to save money. But on the 4th of Nov 2019 I was charged R 1038. I contacted DSTV and after 2 days I only received a response stating that I am still paying for premium since I did not cancel the package. I requested First ref nr *** On the 24th Nov I contacted them again stating that the account is not sorted and was informed I have a credit of R 21.35. Then in December I was charged R 715.65. At this stage I have already paid R 200 in dishonoring fees at the bank. I was promised all is fixed and the amount payable is R 529.72 but the R 715.65 was still debited from my account. Then I was promised I have a credit of R 185.93. Then in December I had extremely limited channels, may be 10 channels and I was informed the decoder might be broken... I went to the agency and and all was reset. Then in January I was charged R 507.07 and my credit gone. In Feb I wen to the agency and they said I being double charged, they have requested reversals and I will have a credit. DSTV Head office did not approve this reversal. Now in March I went to the agency again on the 16th March 2020 and was informed that I am being double charged. They will request a reversal. I was disconnected on the 17th March, 22 March,26 March and the 28th Mar and now on the 2nd April. I have been double charged since Oct 2019, I have been paying dishonoring fees of R 100 ver 6 months, my "credits" just disappeared and everytime I complain they just promise the problem will be escalated to the accounts department. DSTV *****s your money!!
